I absolutely hated it.
I couldn't believe that people actually ate that food.
I refused to ever eat it again.
Then I moved to Germany, met a girl named Hina (she's Indian if you can't tell by her name) who cooked Dal for me, and I started to question my hatred for Indian food.
It just happens that Hina and her husband moved to Raleigh about 6 months before we did.
They managed to get me to try another Indian restaurant that turns out was amazing!
Wholly crap have I been missing out all these years!
Hina gave me her Dal recipe and I now cook it almost once a week.
It one of the best versions of clean eating I have came across.
Just look at the ingredients.
You can tweek the recipe and add what you want.
The original recipe doesn't call for celery and carrots but I figured I'd pack as much goodness into it as I can.
Hina mentioned she added Kale to it once also and it was yummy.
The best part about this recipe is that it's even better the next day.
Cook some rice to add to it or just eat it plain, up to you.
I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Thanks Hina!
